SF – Oakland Bay Bridge – YBI Transition Structure

The Yerba Buena Island Transition Structure (YBITS) construction for the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge is now complete. It connects the Self-Anchored Suspension (SAS) span to Yerba Buena Island (YBI), and transitions the East Span’s side-by-side road decks to the upper and lower decks of the YBI tunnel and West Span. SDI was contracted to furnish and install all post-tensioning for the project.
