Goethals Bridge

A new Goethals Bridge will be built to replace the original bridge connecting Elizabeth, NJ and Staten Island, NY. The new cable-stay bridge will offer 6, 12-foot-wide lanes and a large sidewalk and bikeway. Upon completion, the original Goethals bridge will be demolished.
