Hawaii’s Hilton Waikoloa People Mover Undergoes Extensive Renovation

Schwager Davis, Inc. has recently performed an extensive renovation and upgrade project for the original 1988 people mover system that connects the activity centers of the expansive Hilton Waikoloa luxury resort on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The project involved refurbishment of the grade-level guideway beams, track switches and supply and installation of three new 5-car trains. The new trains accommodate 90 all-seated passengers in air-conditioned comfort. The project was completed on-schedule with minimal impact for guests and visitors.
