Monterey Conference Center Renovation

Monterey Conference Center’s mission calls for a “state-of-the-art meeting facility” that would be “the focal point for welcoming and encouraging cultural and economic prosperity for the City of Monterey.” Having recognized that its Conference Center’s infrastructure was aging, inefficient, and increasingly obsolete, the city embarked on an ambitious $60,000,000 renovation project. SDI assisted in project design and took on all additions and modifications of post-tensioning systems for concrete slabs and concrete supporting beams. The project began in 2015 and completed in 2017.
